SCHOLAR SPORTS COACHING CAMP/ SWIMMING POOL & SPORTS COMPLEX MEMBERSHIP 2009-10

Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram is organizing the Scholar Sports Coaching Camp during summer vacation from May 11 – 22,2009. We also offer monthly /annual membership of the Swimming Pool & Sports Complex for the year 2009-10. During this camp, students will be taught five Educational Values of Olympic & Sport, which are A. Joy of Effort, B. Fair Play, C. Respect for Others, D. Pursuit of Excellence and E. Balance between Body, Will & Mind. These values come from the fundamental principles that seem relevant for educational purposes. They incorporate the three domains of learning i.e. Cognitive (Intellectual), Affective (Social/ Emotional) and Kinesthetic (Physical).

The details of the programmes are as under:

1) SCHOLAR SPORTS COACHING CAMP

DATES:
From May 11 – 22, 2009 excluding Saturday & Sunday for all the classes of DPS R. K. P., V. Vihar & EOK
TIMINGS:
7.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
DISCIPLINES:
Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Gym, Kho-Kho, Lawn Bowl, Skating, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis & Volleyball. (All the activities for boys & girls)
VENUE:
DPS R.K. Puram, Sports Complex.
CAMP FEE:
Rs. 700/- per student
ELIGIBILITY:
Students of DPS R.K. Puram, East of Kailash & Vasant Vihar (Class Nursery to XII)
PRIVILEGES:
Camp Participation Certificate & Awards will be given and the participants may also be considered for school team and school appointments. Outstanding international players, coaches, administrators, academicians will be invited to interact with the students and provide guidance for their future. Relevant educational and sport development films will be shown in the air-conditioned A.V.H. of the school.
CONVEYANCE:
11st May’09 onwards transport will be provided by the school for thirteen specific game routes only to drop the children after the coaching camp. The students will report for the camp by their own conveyance.

2) SPORTS COMPLEX MEMBERSHIP

DPS students (East of Kailash, Vasant Vihar & R. K. Puram), their parents and members of their family can become members of the Sports Complex and swimming pool. They will be entitled to use the swimming pool and Gym facility after school hours, on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and during the summer vacations as per the schedule. The membership fee had been displayed on the swimming pool and school notice boards.

Those who are interested, may collect the prescribed form from the Health Block, School Reception or School Main Gate, Boys Hostel Main Gate; and return the same duly completed along with the requisite fee in cash to the school cashier. FOOTBALL (BOYS)
 
Inter DPS Delhi & NCR football tournament held at DPS Greater Noida from 15-19 october. Dps won the tournament and qualified for national level.

 


CRICKET (BOYS)
Inter dps delhi & ncr cricket tournament held at dps noidafrom 25-31st august 2008. dps rkpuram was the runner up in the tournament and qualified for national level.

 

 

BASKETBALL (BOYS)

Inter dps delhi & ncr basketball tournament held at dps mathura road from 20-24 october2008. dpsrkpuram was the second runners up in the tournament.

National level inter dps swimming championship heil at dps bhilain from 2-12 july 2008. dps r.k.puram won th overall championship.

National level inter dps swimming champioship held at dps panipat city from 24-27 july 2008. dps r.k puram won the overall championship.

CHESS (BOYS)

National level inter dps chess tourrnament  held at dps vadodra from 6-8 may 2008.dps r.k puram won the overall championship.

National level inter dps table tennis tournament held at dps sushant lok, gurgaon from 9-11 may 2008. dps r.k puram two over all championships and harshit joon was declared the best player of the tournament.

 

TENNIS (BOYS)

National level inter dps tennis tournament held at dps r.k puram from 12-15 dec.2008. dps rkpuram won the overall championship and angad bhandari was declared the best player of the tournament.

 

VOLLEYBALL (GIRLS)

National level inter dps volleyball tournament hld at djaipur from28-30 aug.2008. dps r.k.puram was the overall runners up of the chapionship and Radhika Agarwal was declared the best player of the tournament.

National level inter dps volleyball tournament held at dps gurgaon from 7-9 aug. dps r.k.puram was third runnerup in the tournament.


CRICKET (BOYS)

National level inter dps cricket tournament held at dps mathura roadfrom 29-3rd jan. dps.rk.puram was the overall runners up in the tournament and arjun arora was declared the best batsman of the tournament.

 

MULTI SPORTS MEET (GIRLS)

National level inter dps MULTI SPORTS MEET held at dps aligarh from 14-18 oct.2008. it included five games i.e ATHLETICS, TENNIS, SKATING, BASKETBALL AND BADMINTON.dps r.k puram won the over all chapionship. Malika dang was declared the best athelete of the tournament and jasmine bajaj was the best player of the tournament in tennis.

All India inter DPS Table Tennis Tournament held at DPS Sushant Lok from 9-11th May 2008. 60 DPS schools participated from all over india. DPS R. K. Puram won the overall championship and team championship, doubles and single title.

Ramjas School Delhi State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament held at Ramjas School, Anand Parvat from 19-28 April 2008. DPS R K Puram won the team championship in under 17 Category
