Sports Complex Membership (April 2010 to March 2011)/ Swimming Pool Membership (April to September 2010) fee for the session 2010 - 11 will be as under.

Membership forms are available with the security guards at the school main gate and boys hostel main gate or can be downloaded from the school website  www.dpsrkp.net. Forms duly completed along with prescribed fee will have to be deposited to the cashier.

SCHEDULE FOR SWIMMING  2010-2011
ON ALL 7 DAYS OF THE WEEK

Note:   1. One smart Security Guard who knows swimming also will be on duty shift-wise from 6.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. at the swimming pool. He must be vigilant to face any unwarranted incidence/ accident that might occur with any swimmer, and he will also ensure that no unauthorized person is present there.

2.The swimming pools will be functional on all 7 days of the week except gazetted holidays.

3. Swimming coach and lifeguard (Male & Female) will be on duty as per requirement of swimming pools.

CLASS VI SPORTS DAY 2009-2010

The annual Sports Day for class VI was held on 15th February, 2010. Mr. Yuvraj Singh, the ace cricketer of the Indian cricket team, was the chief guest. Around five hundred parents and 1200 students attended the colorful function.

The whole school wore a festive look for the occasion. The students put up excellent displays in Aerobics, Taekwondo, Yoga, and Lazium. They also put up a beautiful dance drama. A lot of excitement was generated by the races that took place.

Following CCE guidelines where sports and academics are given equal importance, the compering was done with a literary touch. The comperes represented characters like Harry Potter and Aladdin from widely read books.

The principal, Dr. D.R. Saini, welcomed the chief guest. He spoke about the numerous ex-students of the school who have made a name for themselves in various sports at the international level. He also said that all these people had performed well in studies at the school as well as higher levels.

The proud prize winners received their medals from Mr. Yuvraj Singh who happily signed autographs for them and encouraged them with personal comments. Mr. Yuvraj Singh addressed the students present and advised them to listen to their parents and teachers as they know what is best for them. He also said that as a child he always listened to what his mother said and competed in all races keeping in his mother in mind.

• Tennis - for boys and girls

The Sports Day came to an end with a vote of thanks by the Head Mistress Mrs. Kamayani Kumar who expressed her thanks to the PE department and all the staff members who were involved in putting up the various items. She also thanked the class VI Reps Mrs. Shalu Khanna and Mrs. Nandini Dasgupta for the zeal and enthusiasm with which they put the whole event together.

54th SCHOOL NATIONAL GAMES- 2010

54th School National Games held at Bhawana, Delhi from 24-29th Dec.2009. Aishwarya Sharma of  Class VIII-A participated in the tournament from Delhi and won one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal, she also won over all winner trophy and was awarded Komal Khati of the year 2009 in Skating event.

CBSE Athletics meet held at St.Xavaier school, Rohini Delhi from 5-6th Dec.2009.

CBSE NATIONALTABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP

CBSE national table tennis championship held at school of scholars, Nagpur, Maharashtra from 7-11th Dec.2009. DPS R.K.Puram's Riti Shankar of VII F won Bronz medal in the team championship and 3rd runners up in the tournament. Th team was as under

DPS R K Puram participated and declared 1st Runner up in the Under 19 (mixed) CBSE National Chess Championship held at International DAV School Amritsar from 12-15th November 2009. The team is as under.

DPS R. K. Puram (Under 14 Girls) won the Cluster XII Table Tennis Tournament held at Hansraj Public School from 22-26th September 2009 and qualifies for CBSE National Table Tennis to be held at school of scholars, YCCE campus Nagpur (Maharashtra) from 7-11 December 2009.

CBSE NORTH ZONE 1 CHESS TOURNAMENT-2009 held at KR Mangalam school, Vikas Puri, New Delhi from 24th-26th sep.2009.DPS R.K.Puram was the 1st runners up of the tournament and qualified for the National tobe held at DAV school, Amritsar, Punjab. The Team is as under.
