His Excellency Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan 
at DPS, R.K.Puram on 29th April, 2005

In two days visit to India, the Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi visited Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on 29th April, 2005. The Prime Minister visited the Japanese classroom and enjoyed an Indo-Japanese cultural programme presented by the students of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. The students presented a number of cards, handmade gifts and handmade potraits of great Indian leaders to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Japanese delegates and the Japanese Ambassador of India during his visit to the school. The Chairman Mr. Narendra Kumar and other members of DPS Society were also present to welcome the Prime Minister.

1ST COMPUTER LITERACY EXCELLENCE AWARDS FOR SCHOOLS
On the 29th August, 2002 Computer Literacy awards were presented to various schools from all over the country to encourage Computer Education during the "1^st Computer Literacy Excellence Awards for Schools - 2002" in New Delhi. 

President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, presented an award to 
Dr. (Mrs.) Shyama Chona, Principal, Delhi Public School (R.K. Puram). The school was adjudged the Best School at the State Level and bagged the 2nd Runners up position nationally.
