Criteria for Registration |
Eligibility Criteria - I
The
applicants must have secured a minimum of
81% marks in the aggregate or 45 Total Grade Points* (the calculation of Total Grade Points are given below) for the registration to the
Science Stream, Commerce Stream and Humanities Stream. There
will be no entrance test and admission will
be granted on the basis of merit and performance in the interview.

Example of Calculation of Total Grade Point,
Case 1:
If the applicant has scored A1 in English (Subject1), A2 in Mathematics(Subject2), A1 in Science (Subject3), B1 in Social Science (Subject4) and A1 in Second Language (Subject5) - Total Grade point will be (10+9+10+8+10) = 47
Case 2:
If the applicant has scored B2 in English(Subject1), A1 in Mathematics(Subject2), A1 in Science (Subject3), A2 in Social Science (Subject4) and A2 in Second Language (Subject5) - Total Grade point will be (7+10+10+9+9) = 45
Eligibility Criteria - II (Alongwith Criteria I)
For Science Stream - The applicant should score a minimum of Marks/Grade Points as follows:
[In case of marks - 81 or more in (English+Science+Maths)/3] OR [In case of Grades - 27 and more in Grade Points of English+Science+Mathematics]
For Commerce Stream - The applicant should score a minimum of Marks/Grade Points as follows:
[In case of marks - 81 or more in (English+Maths)/2] OR [In case of Grades - 18 and more in Grade Points of English+Mathematics]

Registration
will be open till 4th
June 2010, 13:00 Hrs, on the school website
www.dpsrkp.net. Applicants will fill in
Online Registration Form ONLY
after the declaration of Board Result
of Class X. |

The
School Administration reserves the right
to offer admission to suitable candidates
only, since there are limited seats in all
streams. |

Applicants
scoring an aggregate of 95% and above OR A1 Grade in all the 5 main subjects will be called for an interview from May 31, 2010 onwards (schedule of the same will be intimated online). The last list of shortlisted candidates for Interview for the remaining candidates (Other than whose interview date has already been announced) will be displayed on June 5, 2010. Tentative dates for the interview: May 31, 2010 to June 10, 2010)
JSTS/NTSE scholars and applicants with outstanding performance in the SPORTS and other fields will get preference.

Preference
will be given to students (Boys/Girls) seeking
hostel accommodation. Admission
to the hostel will be granted for two academic
years i.e. 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 (Classes
XI & XII). No withdrawal from hostel
is allowed during the above period. All
Hostellers will have to pay the hostel fees
in advance as per the schedule given below.
Hostellers will not be allowed to take any Private Tuition / Coaching classes outside
the school premises. All extra classes are available in the School Campus itself. |

first list of selected candidates of Hostellers
as well as Day Scholars will be available
online on or before 5th June 2010.
The
verification of documents and completion
of admission formalities of the first list
will start from 7th June to 9th
June 2010 from 9.00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.(excluding lunch hours 1.00p.m. to 2.00
p.m.)

list will be available online on or before 18th

admission will be confirmed only after the
verification of all the original documents. |

in favour of DPS R.K. Puram, payable at
New Delhi, is to be submitted towards 1st
installment of school fees (out of the total
school fees of approx. Rs.80,000/- depending on subject options and transport facility opted by the candidate) for
the year 2010-2011. |

A separate demand draft of Rs.1,44,200/-
is also to be submitted in favour of DPS
R.K Puram payable at New Delhi, towards
hostel fees for the year 2010-2011. A separate
post dated CBS Clearing/Delhi Clearing/At
Par cheque of Rs.1,30,000/-
dated 01.04.2011 is required to be submitted
in favour of DPS R K Puram towards hostel
fees for the year 2011-2012. |

Voters Identity Card/Ration Card/Passport.
(Head of the family should be either father
or mother in case of ration-card). Original
documents are to be produced for verification. |

The
first three parts of the medical history form
of the candidate must be completed by you
and certified by your registered medical doctor, and submitted
during the admission process. The form can
be downloaded from the website. |

vi) |
Immunization
certificate/attested copy of vaccination card
from a registered medical doctor. |

vii) |
Character Certificate from Head of the
Institution last attended. |

viii) |
Transfer
Certificate (in original), duly countersigned
by the Inspector of Schools of the respective
area, to be submitted during 2nd week of July
2010. |

DPS
R.K. Puram is a day-cum-boarding school
for both boys and girls. Seats in the school
hostel are limited, and are granted only
to meritorious students. Once admission
is granted to the hostel, students will
not be permitted to withdraw during the
course of the academic session 2010-2011 and
2011-2012. No refund will be made
during mid-session. |

The
school provides transport facilities, but
there is no guarantee that a seat in the
school bus will be made available when the
buses are full to capacity or do not ply
in the area of residence. Transport
once provided will not be discontinued during
the academic session. |

The
above-mentioned schedule is subject to change
if the Board Results are delayed by the
C.B.S.E. for any reason. |

In
case any candidate fails to turn up on the
above-mentioned specified dates/timings
specified, any claim for admission from
the candidate will stand cancelled. Kindly
follow the timings and dates given above. |

All
decisions of the Admission Committee will be final and binding. |
17. |
Regular
classes will begin for all Students (Day Scholars and Hostellers) w.e.f.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR HOSTELLERS ONLY
|
Before
a student joins the hostel, the following
documents / formalities (including information
on the student’s weekend visits and
going out schedule) must be completed on
separate forms, which are available online. |
a) |
An
authority letter from the parent giving
details of two persons from different families, who will act as
the local guardians, indicating their names
and addresses, alongwith their photographs
and telephone numbers. Such persons must
also submit in writing, that they will permit
the student to stay with them during sickness.
They should be married, with a residential
address, employed, and live in a family
environment. No student will be allowed
to become a local guardian to a hostel student. |
b) |
A
health certificate regarding medical history
etc. must be duly checked and signed by
the registered medical doctor/school doctor, parents
and the concerned student. If a student
is allergic to any medicine or has any special
medical requirements, please mention it
in the medical certificate. |
c) |
School/hostel
uniform requirements must be met by the
parents. A list of articles of clothing
and other items, are available in the Hostel
Rules booklet. |
d) |
A
letter of indemnity against any damage,
sickness, accident etc. caused in the course
of the normal functioning / activities of
the school. |
e) |
It
is obligatory for the parents/LG to attend
PTA meetings (PTA schedule is mentioned in School Almanac) |
f) |
Parents
/ LG are required to leave a telephone number
and address in Delhi, for immediate contact,
in case of any emergency. |
g) |
Both
the local guardians should be present at
the time of admission and reporting to the hostel. |
h) |
The
no. of photographs as mentioned below, must
be submitted by the hostellers, as part
of the admission formalities. |

Note:- |
1. |
All
candidates selected for hostel accommodation
will have to undergo a medical check up
by the school doctor, before joining the
hostel. |
2. |
The
selected hostel students will report to
the hostel between 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
w.e.f. Thursday, July 8, 2010. They must
bring their personal clothing and all essential
items with them, as per the hostel rules.

3. |
The
Principal will address the hostellers on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 03:30 p.m. (Girls)
and 5.00 p.m. (Boys). All parents and local
guardians are requested to attend. |
4. |
It
is mandatory for the local guardian to take
complete responsibility for his/her ward
in time of sickness/emergency/week-ends/holidays
and travel etc. |
5. |
Only
married couples, living in a family set-up,
with telephone facilities, will be allowed
to act as local guardians. |
| There are limited seats for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Category. Forms of the same can be obtained from School Admission Office on any working day on or before 04 June 2010. There is NO Online Registration for EWS Category |
