    DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR DAY SCHOLARS
    • A demand draft of Rs.50,000/- in favour of DPS R.K. Puram, payable at New Delhi, is to be submitted towards the 1st installment of school fees (out of the total school fees of approx. Rs.1,95,000/- depending on the subject options and transport facility opted by the candidate) for the academic year 2017-2018.

    • A self attested photocopy of the Class X Final Result Marks Sheet will be required to be submitted. Original Marks Sheet will be required for verification.

    • Transfer Certificate (in original), duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the respective area, to be submitted during the 2nd week of July 2016.

    • Two passport size photographs of the student, father and  mother.

    • Self Attested photocopy of residence proof. Any one of the following:
      Voters Identity Card / Passport / UID (Aadhar Card)
      Original documents must be produced for verification.
      Head of the family should be either father or mother in case of ration-card.

Eligibility Criteria for Registration

On the request of many applicants, the eligibility criteria for appearing in the admission test is modified as follows.

*Marks/Grades of (i) English, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Science, (iv) Social Science and (v) Second Language of Class X will only be considered. Other subjects will not be considered for  admission to Class XI.

Important:

Grades/Marks issued by the School/Board will be verified during the Written Test.
[B]
Predicted Grades or Marks will not be acceptable.
[C]
The applicants not satisfying the eligibility will not be allowed to appear for the Written Test OR will be disqualified even after appearing in the Written Test.

Admission Procedure

Applicants can only register Online by clicking the "Online Registration" link starting on 7th April 2017. Any application received prior to 7th April 2017 in any form will not be considered/accepted as registration for Class XI Admission Session 2017-2018.

The School Administration reserves the right to offer admission to meritorious applicants only, since there are limited seats in all three streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities.

Selection Criteria: The selection of applicants for the Provisional Admission will be done on the basis of their performance in the written test. The admission will only be considered confirmed after receiving the Final Board Results.

Important instructions to the applicants appearing for the Written Test:

  1. Reporting Time for the Written Test: 08:00 am

  2. It is compulsory for each applicant to carry the following, which will be verified at the School Gate

    • A photo identity proof
    • A printout of Online Registration Slip
    • A self-attested printout/photocopy of the Class 10 First Term Mark Sheet issued by the School/State Board/National Board/International Board. The candidate will not be allowed to sit for the test, if the eligibility criteria is not fulfilled.

  3. Applicant must carry a black ball pen for marking answers on an OMR Answer sheet.
  4. Applicant must come in the uniform of their present school.

Important:
Any personal belongings other than those, which are mentioned above, such as Papers, Notebooks, Bags, Mobile phones, Watches, Water Bottle and other Electronic Gadgets are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the examination rooms.  School will not make any arrangements for keeping the applicants belongings outside the examination room/inside the school campus.

The applicants will also be videographed & photographed in the examination rooms for authentication of identity.

Preference will be given to students (Boys / Girls) seeking hostel accommodation. Admission to the hostel will be granted for two academic years i.e. 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 (Classes XI & XII). No withdrawal from the hostel will be permitted during the above mentioned period. All Hostellers will have to pay the hostel fee in advance as per the schedule given below. Hostellers will not be allowed to take Private Tuitions / Coaching classes outside the school premises.

Applicants from Delhi and NCR region will not be considered under the Hosteller category.

Documents and other essential items to be submitted (Only for Selected Applicants)

a) School Enrolment form duly filled and signed by the parents of the candidate. – For Selected Day Scholars and Hostellers
b) Hostel Admission Form duly filled and signed by the parents of the candidate. – Only for Selected Hostellers

c) A self attested photocopy of the Class X Final Result* Marksheet will be required to be submitted immediately after the declaration of the final results. Original Marksheet will be required for verification.

* Confirmation of Admission is subject to the final result of Class X.
d) Three passport size photographs of the student, and two each of both father & mother.

e) Self Attested photocopy of residence proof. Any one of the following:

  • Voters Identity Card / Passport / UID (Aadhar Card)

(Original documents must be produced for verification.Head of the family should be either father or mother in case of ration-card.)
f) Day Scholar's Medical Forms duly filled and signed by parents and Medical Officer.
g) Certificate from Parents and Undertaking (Form 3.4b - for Day Scholars as well as Hostellers) duly filled and signed by parents.
h) Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended.
i) Transfer Certificate (in original), duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the respective area, to be submitted during the 1st week of July 2017.

DPS R.K. Puram is a day-cum-boarding school for both boys and girls. Seats in the school hostel are limited, and are granted only to meritorious students. Once admission is granted in the hostel, students will not be permitted to withdraw during the course of the academic session 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. No refund will be made during mid-session.

The school provides transport facilities, but there is no guarantee that a seat in the school bus will be made available when the buses are full to capacity or do not run in the area of residence. Transport once provided will not be discontinued during the academic session by the parents. However, the school reserves the right to change the school bus route or cancel the transport facility depending on the situation.

Any claim for admission by the candidate will stand cancelled, if the candidate fails to follow the schedule mentioned above without the prior permission of the Principal, DPS R K Puram.

Registration of the candidate does not ensure admission. All decisions of the Admission Committee will be final and binding.

Students will join from 26th April, 2017.

Only the registration form, which is submitted online for the session 2017-2018 will be considered as valid registration for admission to Class 11 (2017-2018). All the applications/letters for admission received before the commencement of online registration will be considered null and void.

The school will not entertain any request for change of Stream/Status after selection for admission.

The school reserves the right to change/amend any of the above mentioned schedule and criteria at any point of time (if so required). These changes will be displayed on the school website only. All concerned are requested to keep checking the school website frequently.

INSTRUCTIONS ONLY FOR THE SELECTED HOSTELLER APPLICANTS

HOSTEL RULES

The following documents / formalities (including information on the student’s weekend visits and “going out schedule”) must be completed on separate forms before the student joins the hostel.

a)

An authority letter from the parent giving details of two persons from different families, who will act as local guardians, indicating their names and addresses, phone numbers, email addresses along with their photographs.

b)

A health certificate regarding medical history etc., which must be duly checked and signed by a registered medical doctor / school doctor, parents and the concerned student. If a student is allergic to any medicine or has any special medical requirements, it should be mentioned in the medical certificate.

c)

The School / hostel uniform requirements must be met by the parents. A list of articles of clothing and other items are available in the Hostel Rules Guidelines.

d)

It is obligatory for the Parents / Local Guardians to attend Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM schedule is given in the School Almanac)

e)

Parents / Local Guardians are required to leave a telephone number, email  and address in Delhi, for immediate contact, in case of an emergency.

f)

Both the Local Guardians must be present at the time of admission and reporting to the hostel.

g)

The number of photographs mentioned below must be submitted by the hostellers, as part of the admission formalities.

i) Student - 4 Copies

ii) Local Guardians - 4 Copies of each Local Guardian

iii) Father and Mother - 4 Copies of each

Kindly Note:

  1. All applicants selected for hostel accommodation will have to undergo a medical check-up by the school doctor, before joining the hostel.
  2. The selected hostel students (who have completed all the admission formalities) will report to the hostel between 03.00 P.M. to 6.00 P.M. on 25th April, 2017 and 3:30 P.M. to 05:30 P.M. on 26th April, 2017. They must bring their personal clothing and all essential items with them, as per the hostel rules.
  3. The Principal will address the hostellers on  27th April, 2017 at 03:15 P.M. (Girls) and 5.15 P.M. (Boys). Parents and local guardians are requested to attend.
  4. It is mandatory for the local guardians to take complete responsibility for his / her ward in time of sickness / emergency / weekends / holidays and travel etc.
  5. Only married couples, living in a family set-up, with telephone facilities, will be allowed to act as local guardians. No student will be allowed to be a local guardian of a hostel student.
