The Business Studies Department of Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram, under the aegis of the DPS Society conducted a teacher training workshop on the 6th of July 2007 for updating the teachers with the new content of Class XII syllabus.
The workshop was conducted by three eminent resource persons from NCERT – Dr.D.K.Vaid, Professor, Department of Education in Social Sciences and Humanities, NCERT; Dr.G.L.Tayal, Reader, Ramjas College and Dr.Minoo Nandrajog, Reader, Department of Education in Social Sciences &Humanities, NCERT. The welcome address was given by the Principal, Dr.(Mrs) Shayama Chona. The Vice Principal, Dr.Saini also addressed the gathering. Teachers from twenty leading public schools of Delhi attended the workshop. The workshop was divided into three sessions each of which was conducted by the three experts. The sessions were highly interactive and many doubts were clarified. Teachers proposed suggestions to improve the content and make it more student-friendly. The workshop was concluded by a vote of thanks by Mrs.Rashmi Malhotra, HOD, Business Studies Department followed by lunch.
