Inter-School Competition - Gateway 2007

Students of Exun, participated in an Inter-School IT Competition – Gateway 2007 at Montfort School, Ashok Vihar on 03rd August 2007 and won the overall trophy. The competition was participated by the students of Delhi and NCR schools.

Computer Star Awards 2007
 
This year over 5,600 students from about 130 schools across Delhi and the NCR participated in the Computer Star Contest. There were 2 categories, Group A & B, and 53 prizes were given to students excelling in both the groups respectively. Ananth Govind Rajan from our school received the top rank in Group B with 296 marks out of 300 and received a Toshiba laptop. There were a total of 22 students from our school who received consolation prizes from both groups. Our school had the maximum number of meritious students and the third largest number of participating students with 254 students. Hence, we have secured the Computer Ratna for best teachers (Mukesh Kumar & Anjana Virmani), maximum participation and the overall position as the best school.

 
National Modeling Meet organized by MAAC
 
On 24 July, 2007, the NMM was organized by Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC). There were more than 80 teams of modelers and animators participating from all over the country. There were 3 teams from Delhi each comprising of 3 members. Exun Member - Shubham Goel of Class 8 was one of them. His team made a model of a hi-tech car in Maya software. After clearing 3 rounds, his team was called for on-spot modeling. Shubham was asked to model a robot. Three hours time was given to complete the model, then models were judged and his team cleared this round too. After this, in the finals: there were 5 teams from all over India. Shubham's team was the only one from Delhi and his team's model won the 2nd prize and got a trophy, certificate and a cheque worth Rs.60000/- (Rs. 20000 to each). Shubham was the youngest participant in this event.
